Leo Triplet (M66 Group) Galaxies
Image information
Description
A stunning sight, this group of galaxies gives us an opprtunity to view or image a face on spiral, partly edge on spiral and an edge on spiral galaxy in the one field of view. Imaged this at WSAAG's Linden Observatory dark sky observing site. Approx 35 million light years distant. M66 & M65 on the bottom and NGC 3628 at the top. Celestron GPS11, f1.8 hyperstar lens, Meade DSI 111 Colour camera. A meteor or satellite crossed through the centre.
